Ideas for albums:

Pets We Had As We Grew Up
Collect photos of each animal you had in the house as you grew up. My mom photographed the dogs more than me, so there might be a lot to choose from in your family too. Glue a few onto a piece of poster board. You can decorate with stickers and stuff. The poster can be left here and we can reminisce with them too.

A Spouses Birthday Party
Collect a few photos of a birthday party held in the past. Put them in a little album (you can find them in Target sometimes, they hold 5-10 photo’s easily). You can leave the photo album in your car so you are ready if you find yourself fin the neighborhood.

Houses We Lived In
Make a list of all the addresses you lived at as you grew up. Search for photos of each house. encourage your elders to talk about how they chose the house, what they were looking for, how much did it cost, was did it look like inside, was the yard big or little, did we have a dog or cat back then? You may be very surprised what their memories of those places are. And honestly it's nice for us to revisit those things.

Members of our family
Again collect photos of family members and paste to a poster board, you can do this in a family tree and your brothers and sisters may have pictures of people you may not. When my mom passed away I was upset because the knowledge of our family passed with her and there was no-one left who had that much knowledge. My poor dad could barely recall his siblings names. This project may be very rewarding for a while family.
